Our Founder
Cogent Global Protection was founded in 2016 by Mark Reid who brings 15 years of experience in the private security industry. His career began with 11 years in the Parachute Regiment, where he developed the discipline, leadership, and operational mindset that continue to underpin his approach to security and risk management.
Following his military service, Mark transitioned into the private security sector, working across a range of high-risk and complex environments. His hands on operational experience and deep understanding of protective security enabled him to identify gaps in the market for intelligence led, client-focused solutions.
Motivated by a commitment to professionalism, discretion, and operational excellence, Mark founded Cogent Global Protection to deliver tailored security services built on military grade planning and real world experience. Under his leadership, the company remains focused on delivering calm, reliable protection which safeguards people, assets, and reputations worldwide.
